The suggested size for the container is a Rubbermaid 18 gallon bin. Please note that the cost of storing a bin/container/tub will be increased to $15 for the year beginning with this season’s drop off. The club is no longer able to absorb the shortfall caused by the rise in price. They have been practicing new music weekly in order to astonish the audience at their next performance! Game winners Euchre: Congratulations to the Jan. 22 at the Community Church located at 3524 US Highway 98 in Santa Rosa Beach. ![]() The Walton County Snowbird Singers will be in concert at 2 p.m. The artists and crafters will have their work on display and for sale at the back of the auditorium. There will be an art exhibit from both the Tuesday morning and afternoon Art Workshop Classes as well as few members of the Craft Group prior to the next General Meeting on Feb. The Biking Group is back on the road and eagerly pedaling under the leadership of Don Anderson and John Beach, Walton County Snowbird Treasurer. Recently, the group applauded the efforts of Don Anderson and Carole Zoller for placing first in penning winning opening lines. Activities The Creative Writers workshop gathers weekly to critique stories authored by its members. Supporters need to know that their donations are being used and appreciated by way of a verbal thank you from our lucky winning members. The meeting will end with the distribution of prizes donated by merchants along the Emerald Coast. Chuck flavors his music with Caribbean rhythms delivered by his guitar and steel drum. The entertainment for this meeting will be provided by Chuck Lawson dubbed the “Tropical Man” because of his island style music versions of popular songs. Remember that our Snowbird artists and crafters will be displaying their work for purchase before the meeting begins at 10 a.m. Prior to the start of the meeting there will be one last opportunity to register for the Walton County Snowbird Club for this season. The Walton County Snowbird Scholarship Raffle winning ticket will be pulled at this meeting, so some lucky ticket holder will take home the beautiful Gift Basket valued at over $350 and two senior class members from South Walton High School will receive a $1,000 scholarship. 12, at the Destin United Methodist Church located at 200 Beach Drive in Destin. If you are a new arrival, brush off the snow and ice and warm up with Snowbird activities which are currently in full swing! General Meeting The next General Meeting will be on Wednesday, Feb. We are strong in numbers with close to 2000 members arriving at the Emerald Coast for a winter respite from that awful Artic Vortex visiting our home states. Walton County Snowbirds February is a welcome sight as it has brought milder temperatures along with the last wave of the Walton County Snowbird flock. ![]()
